CILEGON BANTEN (ISL News) - As a token of gratitude for the smooth operation and achievements of the port, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Banten held a Joint Prayer and Orphanage Charity event. This social and religious activity took place at the Al-Amin Mosque located in the Ciwandan Port operational area.
During this event, the management of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten invited and provided assistance to 25 orphans living around Ciwandan Port. The cash assistance was handed over by company management representatives with the aim of sharing happiness and directly benefiting the children in the port's neighborhood.
General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten, Benny Ariadi, said that social and religious activities like this are an important agenda for the company to take a break from the busy logistics activities, to express gratitude and share happiness with others.
"The smooth flow of logistics and every achievement at Ciwandan Port are inseparable from the prayers and support of the surrounding community. Therefore, this prayer service and donation are our small steps to foster strong ties and ensure that Pelindo's presence has a tangible positive impact on our immediate community," said Benny.
The event included a communal prayer led by local religious leaders, asking for safety, blessings, and the smooth running of all port operations in the future. The Kepuh Village Head also attended the event, which provided support from the local government.
Through this social program, Pelindo Regional 2 Banten hopes to continue growing and developing alongside the community. The company is committed to not only focusing on national business and logistics operational targets, but also consistently spreading goodness and improving the welfare of the communities in its operational areas.
