MEDAN (ISL News) - PT Pelindo Multi Terminal, a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) engaged in the management and operation of non-container terminals, recorded positive performance throughout the first semester of 2026. Continuously growing operational performance is part of strengthening the company's business fundamentals in supporting the smooth flow of logistics and national trade activities.

Pelindo Multi Terminal's Senior Vice President of Corporate Secretariat, Finan Syaifullah, stated that the company successfully recorded positive growth in cargo loading and unloading during the first semester of 2026.

"This achievement reflects Pelindo Multi Terminal's ongoing efforts to strengthen service quality, increase operational effectiveness, and deliver increasingly reliable and competitive non-container terminal management," Finan said.

From an operational perspective, Pelindo Multi Terminal Group recorded positive growth in freight flows throughout the first semester of 2026. The total flow of goods managed reached 59.59 million tons/m3, growing 10.85 percent compared to the same period the previous year.

This growth was supported by increases in several key commodity segments. General & Bag Cargo flows were recorded at 14.56 million tons/m3, up from 13.72 million tons/m3 in 2025, representing a 6.11 percent increase.

Meanwhile, Liquid Bulk commodity sales reached 14.41 million tons, up from 13.34 million tons in the same period last year, representing a 7.97 percent increase. The Dry Bulk segment recorded significant growth, reaching 30.63 million tons, up from 26.69 million tons in 2025, representing a 14.74 percent increase. Gas commodity flows reached 8.12 million mmbtu, up from 7.77 million mmbtu, representing a 4.49 percent increase.

Finan stated that the performance improvement was due to the company's consistency in implementing operational transformation through strengthening business processes, human resources, technology, equipment, infrastructure, and the implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards.

"Pelindo Multi Terminal remains committed to maintaining reliable terminal operations through continuous innovation and transformation. With increasingly effective and integrated services, we hope to continue contributing to streamlining the national logistics chain," explained Finan.

Pelindo Multi Terminal Group's positive achievements are also in line with Danantara Indonesia's strategic agenda of encouraging the strengthening of service consistency and operational reliability of state-owned companies to maintain smooth logistics distribution and support the growth of national trade activities.

As a non-container terminal operator, Pelindo Multi Terminal continues to strengthen its role in providing modern, safe, and competitive non-container terminal services through technology development, increased productivity, and strengthening the Indonesian port ecosystem.
