MAKASSAR (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo is strengthening the vendor ecosystem in Region 4 through updating its goods and services procurement policy, digitalizing the P-eproc system, implementing the Contractor Safety Management System (CSMS), and supporting financing from Himbara banks.

This step was realized through the 2026 Pelindo Goods and Services Procurement Socialization which was held in the Akhlak Meeting Room, 7th Floor of the Pelindo Regional 4 Office, Makassar, Thursday (13/8/2026).

This activity was attended by vendors who have collaborated or will collaborate with Pelindo Regional 4. The socialization became a forum for aligning understanding regarding policies, systems, and standards that must be met in the procurement process within Pelindo.

Division Head of Human Resources and General Services at Pelindo Regional 4, Rinto Saiful, said that vendors have a strategic position in supporting smooth operations and improving the quality of port services.

"Pelindo views vendors as strategic partners. Therefore, collaborative relationships must be built on professionalism, transparency, compliance, quality work, and a commitment to safety," said Rinto.

According to him, a shared understanding of procurement policies is necessary to ensure every collaborative process runs more orderly, effectively, and accountably. Pelindo also wants to ensure all vendors are adequately prepared before participating in the procurement process or undertaking work.

This readiness includes not only administrative completeness and technical capabilities, but also integrity, company capacity, and compliance with occupational safety and health standards.

"We hope all vendors understand the applicable regulations and prepare themselves accordingly. This is crucial so that the collaboration can provide added value to the company and support Pelindo's services to its customers," he said.

During the socialization, participants received an explanation regarding the latest regulations for the procurement of goods and services, the implementation of CSMS, updates to the P-eproc system, as well as finance funding facilities and banking support from the Association of State-Owned Banks or Himbara.

Non-Technical Procurement Manager of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), Yanuar Siscaria Rahmawati, explained that the renewal of procurement policies and systems is part of Pelindo's transformation to create increasingly transparent, efficient, and competitive business processes.

"Procurement of goods and services isn't just about meeting company needs. This process is also a crucial tool for maintaining efficiency, transparency, fair business competition, and quality work," said Yanuar.

According to Yanuar, the P-eproc system update is expected to make it easier for businesses to participate in digital procurement processes. Vendors are also asked to ensure that all company information in the Vendor Management System (VMS) is recorded completely, correctly, and up-to-date.

Pelindo, he continued, provides equal opportunities for business actors who have the competence and meet the requirements to participate in the company's procurement process.

In addition to administrative and digitalization aspects, Pelindo prioritizes safety as a critical requirement for its work. Through the implementation of a CSMS, each contractor must be able to identify and control occupational health and safety risks.

Meanwhile, Pelindo Regional 4 Procurement Manager, Anrina Mesanny Aprilia Rasmud, said the socialization also provided a space for direct communication between Pelindo and vendors regarding procurement mechanisms.

"Through this forum, vendors can obtain more comprehensive information and ask questions about the procurement process. We want to ensure there are no misunderstandings regarding policy implementation in the field," said Anrina.

According to Anrina, administrative completeness, technical capability, integrity, and compliance with safety standards are all integral in determining a vendor's readiness to collaborate with Pelindo.

Pelindo Regional 4 continues to promote an open, professional, and competitive procurement ecosystem. This strengthening is expected to improve the quality of goods and services obtained by companies while expanding opportunities for qualified businesses.

Pelindo's 2026 Goods and Services Procurement Socialization Program was held in four regional areas: Medan, Jakarta, Surabaya, and Makassar. This series of activities is part of the company's efforts to standardize the understanding and implementation of procurement policies across Pelindo's operational areas.
