PLP Kelas 1 Tanjung Priok Host Handover Ceremony for Captains of State Patrol Vessels, Strengthening Professionalism and Shipping Safety

JAKARTA (ISL News) - The Tanjung Priok Class I Sea and Coast Guard Base (PLP) carried out the Handover of Position (Sertijab) for Captains of State Patrol Vessels as part of organizational development, leadership regeneration, and strengthening the professionalism of human resources in supporting the implementation of safety, security, order in shipping, and law enforcement at sea.


The activity was led directly by the Head of the Class I Tanjung Priok Sea and Coast Guard Base, Fourmansyah, SH, MM, MH, and attended by Structural Officials, Captains of State Patrol Ships, Head of the Engine Room, Coordinator, and all ranks of the Class I Tanjung Priok PLP Base.


In his remarks, the Head of the Base stated that the handover of office was part of the organizational development process aimed at strengthening institutional governance, increasing human resource capacity, and ensuring the continuity of the implementation of state duties in the field of shipping safety and security.


"Rotation and exchange of assignments are a form of organizational trust to strengthen performance, enhance professionalism, and ensure the continuity of duties in maintaining safety, security, and order in shipping. This mandate must be carried out with integrity, discipline, and responsibility," said Fourmansyah.


On this occasion, the Base Chief expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the captains who carried out the exchange of assignments for their dedication, loyalty, and devotion during their duties. He hopes the experience gained will serve as a valuable resource for carrying out their duties in future assignments.


To the Captains who received new mandates, the Head of the Base advised them to always build professional leadership, strengthen communication with the entire crew, uphold discipline, and create a work culture that prioritizes safety in every task.


It was further emphasized that a captain of a state ship has strategic responsibilities, not only operating the ship, but also leading the entire crew, ensuring the safety of human life, safeguarding state assets, ensuring the success of operations, and maintaining the honor of the Marine and Coast Guard Corps (KPLP) as a representation of the state's presence at sea.


All captains are expected to consistently prioritize the principle of Safety First, consistently implement risk management, comply with all applicable regulations, and make every decision professionally, objectively, and responsibly. Personnel safety, ship safety, and protection of the marine environment must be the top priority in all operations.


In addition, all KPLP State Civil Apparatus are expected to continue improving the quality of public services by implementing ASN BerAKHLAK values, strengthening integrity, improving competence, building synergy, and providing fast, transparent, professional, and accountable services to all stakeholders in the maritime transportation sector.


Through this handover ceremony, the Tanjung Priok Class I PLP Base affirmed its commitment to continuously strengthen the professionalism of its personnel, improve the quality of leadership on board Patrol State Vessels, and support the realization of safe, secure, orderly, smooth, and sustainable Indonesian maritime transportation.
