SURABAYA (ISL News) – PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP), together with PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL), have reaffirmed their commitment to sustainable business practices based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. Through their Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, the companies are providing facilities and infrastructure to residents living near the port's operational area. This concrete step is expected to improve the quality of life of the local community.
The aid distributed includes various facilities and infrastructure that have been adjusted to the urgent needs of residents. Through this action, the company hopes to provide long-term benefits while strengthening synergy with the community around the work environment.
The handover of aid was carried out symbolically by Widyaswendra as SVP Corporate Secretariat of PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas to the administrators of the Community Communication Association (Perkom) TTL from each region. In addition, this activity was also attended directly by the management of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas and Terminal Teluk Lamong, the Secretary of the Benowo Sub-district Head and representatives of the Asemrowo Sub-district Head, as well as village heads and local sub-districts from 7 sub-districts in the PT Terminal Teluk Lamong work area (including the areas of Tambak Osowilangon, Romokalisari, Tambak Sarioso, Genting Kalianak, Morokrembangan, Tenggulunan, and Karangkiring), along with local community leaders.
Widyaswendra, said that the implementation of this TJSL program is a form of concern and real responsibility of the company towards the community and environment in the Company's operational area.
