CILEGON BANTEN (ISL News) - In an effort to strengthen its commitment to handling civil and state administrative legal issues, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Banten signed an extension of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cilegon District Attorney's Office.
The signing was carried out directly by the General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten, Benny Ariadi, together with the Head of the Cilegon District Attorney's Office, Febrianda Ryendra, SH, on Monday (27/7) at the Meeting Room of the Banten Center Building, Pelindo Regional 2 Banten. This strategic collaboration is focused on Handling Legal Issues in the Civil and State Administrative Fields, and is effective for the next one-year period, namely from 2026 to 2027.
The scope of this Memorandum of Understanding includes the provision of legal assistance by State Attorneys (JPN) through both litigation and non-litigation processes, legal considerations in the form of Legal Opinions (LO) or Legal Assistance (LA), and other legal actions to safeguard and restore state assets. Furthermore, this collaboration also emphasizes improving human resource competency and implementing preventive measures to prevent corruption.
General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten, Benny Ariadi, said that synergy with law enforcement officials is a crucial element in maintaining the integrity and smooth running of the company's business as the manager of the country's logistics hub.
"This extension of our partnership demonstrates our commitment to prioritizing integrity, transparency, and legal compliance across all operational lines. With the assistance and legal advice provided by the Cilegon District Attorney's Office, we hope to mitigate potential legal risks early, ensuring that every strategic step and service we provide remains within the proper legal framework and is based on good corporate governance," said Benny Ariadi.
The Cilegon District Attorney's Office, through its State Attorney (JPN) function, will act as a facilitator and negotiator in the event of disputes between agencies, while also providing legal assistance so that Pelindo Regional 2 Banten can carry out its main duties and functions optimally without administrative or legal obstacles.
Through this extension of the agreement, both parties hope to continue to build positive and professional synergy to protect state assets and ensure smooth port operations, which have a direct impact on national economic and logistical stability.
