PALEMBANG (ISL News) – Pelindo Group Regional 2 Palembang once again conducted a routine Management Walkthrough in July 2026 at the Boom Baru Port operational area in Palembang. This activity is part of the company's commitment to ensuring that all operational processes, facilities, safety aspects, and port services meet established standards.
The Management Walkthrough, led directly by the management of Pelindo Group Regional 2 Palembang, inspected several strategic areas within the port, including the docks, stacking yard, container terminal, passenger terminal, and other operational support facilities. In addition to the field inspection, management also engaged with workers to obtain input on operational conditions and identify potential improvements for immediate action.
Acting General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang, Darmawi, stated that the Management Walkthrough is a routine activity aimed at ensuring that all operational activities run safely, reliably, and efficiently.
"Through the Management Walkthrough, we can directly observe conditions on the ground, evaluate facility readiness, and ensure that every operational process meets safety, security, and service standards," said Darmawi.
During the walkthrough, management inspects the condition of port infrastructure, work area cleanliness, operational equipment readiness, implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) aspects, and compliance with operational procedures. Findings from the walkthrough serve as evaluation material for developing ongoing improvement measures.
Management Walkthrough also demonstrates the company's commitment to maintaining the reliability of port services, increasing operational productivity, and providing the best service to all service users.
Going forward, Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang will continue to carry out Management Walkthroughs periodically as part of its efforts to create safe port operations.
