SURABAYA (ISL News) - PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) Group again recorded solid operational performance throughout the January–May 2026 period by recording container flows of 1,205,540 TEUs, an increase of 13% compared to the same period in 2025. This achievement emphasizes the role of TTL Group as one of the main drivers of the national supply chain while strengthening East Java's position as a trade gateway for eastern Indonesia which is increasingly connected to the global logistics network.
The largest contributor to growth came from the Teluk Lamong Container Terminal (TPK), which recorded a throughput of 448,966 TEUs, an increase of 25% compared to the same period last year of 358,127 TEUs.
This growth was primarily driven by a surge in international container throughput, reaching 238,282 TEUs, a 91% increase compared to the previous year's 124,829 TEUs. This performance was supported by the successful operation of TPK Teluk Lamong, serving 15 ad hoc international container vessels from January to May 2026. This achievement indicates the growing confidence of global shipping companies in TTL's operational reliability, terminal productivity, and service quality.
TPK Nilam also demonstrated positive performance, recording a throughput of 221,807 TEUs, a 20% increase compared to the previous year's achievement of 184,099 TEUs.
This improvement is the result of the implementation of the Express Anchorage Zone Service (EAZI) program through a synergy between PT Terminal Teluk Lamong and KSOP Utama Tanjung Perak in optimizing the arrangement of Surabaya's Anchorage Zone 2. This program successfully accelerated the process of moving ships from the anchorage area to the pier, thereby increasing operational efficiency, speeding up ship service times, and encouraging increased ship call frequency.
Meanwhile, TPK Berlian also made a positive contribution, recording a throughput of 534,767 TEUs, a 1% increase compared to the 528,970 TEUs recorded in the same period last year. This growth was dominated by increased domestic container distribution to various regions in eastern Indonesia, which serve as the backbone of national logistics connectivity.
The President Director of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, David Pandapotan Sirait, stated that this achievement is the result of the company's consistency in carrying out operational transformation that prioritizes safety, efficiency, digitalization, and customer service.
"Performance growth through May 2026 demonstrates that our operational strategy is on track. By optimizing vessel services through the EAZI program, improving equipment reliability, implementing disciplined planning and control, digital transformation, and strengthening our work safety culture, we have successfully increased productivity without compromising the quality of our service to customers. The growing trust from international shipping companies motivates us to continue providing increasingly reliable, efficient, safe, and globally competitive terminal services."
As part of its commitment to operational excellence, TTL also continues to strengthen the implementation of a safety culture by implementing a Safety Improvement Program in March 2026. This program emphasizes the company's commitment to ensuring that every operational activity is carried out in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health (K3) standards.
Through the implementation of Safety Induction, fulfillment of Minimum Safety Requirements, and strengthening the Terminal Sterilization program, the company ensures that all loading and unloading activities take place safely, efficiently, and with minimal risk, thereby supporting sustainable terminal productivity.
Entering the second half of 2026, TTL Group is optimistic about maintaining its growth momentum by improving service quality, strengthening collaboration with all stakeholders, and expanding domestic and international shipping network connectivity.
With increasing customer trust, increasing international services, and strengthening synergies with the entire national logistics ecosystem, TTL Group is committed to continuing to support the creation of a more efficient supply chain, strengthening Indonesia's logistics competitiveness, and realizing East Java as the New Gateway of the Archipelago as well as a modern, integrated, and sustainable international logistics hub.
