JAKARTA (ISL News) - IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) held a corporate social responsibility program entitled "Bakti IPC TPK" with the theme "A Day to Get to Know the World of Containers with IPC TPK." This educational and caring activity was held at SMA Negeri 13 Jakarta. This activity was initiated as a bridge of synergy between the company and the surrounding community outside the port's operational environment, as well as an effort to introduce the logistics and container terminal industry to the younger generation, especially students in the North Jakarta area.
IPC TPK's Director of Finance, Human Resources & Risk Management, Yanuar Evyanto, stated, "Through the IPC TPK Bakti program, we aim to broaden students' horizons regarding the critical role of ports and supply chains in supporting the national economy. We also strongly support waste management activities within the school environment as they align with the ESG principles implemented at IPC TPK," he said.
The series of agendas in the "IPC TPK Peduli & Berbagi" Service were packaged interactively and began with remarks from the IPC TPK Board of Directors, followed by the presentation of educational materials regarding the container terminal management business. As a form of real contribution in supporting waste management in the school environment, IPC TPK also donated trash bins and waste shredders to the school. To lighten the atmosphere and spark participant enthusiasm, the event was also interspersed with quiz sessions and educational games that offered various attractive prizes for students.
Entering the peak of the event, the students' excitement peaked when the Futsal Coaching Clinic session opened. This sports agenda was led directly by IPC TPK employee and former Indonesian National Team Futsal athlete, Randy Satria. Through this special coaching session, the students were not only taught the basic techniques of playing futsal correctly, but also instilled important values of sportsmanship, high fighting spirit, cohesiveness, and strong teamwork that are the main foundation of the professional work culture at IPC TPK. The activity closed with a joint school environment cleanup movement.
"We hope that IPC TPK will consistently deliver community programs that have a positive long-term impact, both in supporting the environmental pillar through independent waste management in schools, and the education and youth pillar through synergies in professional education and the development of sports talent," Yanuar concluded.
