BOGOR INDONESIA (ISL News) - PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM), a subholding of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) engaged in Marine, Equipment, Port Services, Dredging, and Shipyard (MEPS), continues to strengthen its commitment to improving service standards through collaboration with the Directorate General of Sea Transportation (DJPL) to organize pilot endorsement activities for ship pilots. This activity took place for three days, from April 8 to 10, 2026, at the Indonesian Management and Logistics Center (PMLI), Ciawi, Bogor.
This endorsement program is part of an effort to extend and reactivate pilot certificates, specifically the Pilot License (SIM), which is a primary requirement for pilots to carry out their professional duties in the field. All participants in this activity are active pilots with PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim.
This activity is conducted in five batches to ensure training effectiveness and optimize the competency evaluation process. Through this phased system, each participant has the opportunity to participate in more focused training and assessments.
The Corporate Secretary of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim emphasized the importance of this endorsement activity in maintaining safety standards and the quality of ship pilotage services in Indonesian waters. Furthermore, this activity also serves as a means of refreshing knowledge and adapting to the latest regulations in the maritime transportation sector.
By holding this activity, it is hoped that all PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim pilots can continue to improve their competence and professionalism, while also supporting the creation of a safe, efficient, and highly competitive maritime transportation system.
