JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News) — PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok or PTP Nonpetikemas, received an academic visit from students of the Indonesian Education University (UPI) Serang Campus, Banten on May 11, 2026. This activity was carried out as a form of synergy between the industrial and academic worlds in providing direct understanding of business processes and port operations to students of the Marine Logistics Study Program.

Through a series of presentations, discussions, and field observations, students had the opportunity to learn about port business processes, loading and unloading services, logistics distribution flows, and the strategic role of ports in supporting national connectivity and supply chains. This activity also served as a platform for exchanging insights and experiences between industry practitioners and academics to foster a more relevant understanding of the needs of Indonesia's logistics and maritime industry.

Senior Manager of Corporate Secretary of PTP Nonpetikemas, Fiona Sari Utami, said that the academic visit activity is part of the company's commitment to supporting the development of superior human resources in the maritime and logistics sector.

"PTP Nonpetikemas believes that industrial sustainability is built not only through operational strengthening and business transformation, but also through openness in sharing knowledge with the younger generation. The presence of UPI Serang students provides a positive collaborative space to provide first-hand understanding of port business processes and the role of ports in supporting national economic growth," said Fiona.

The series of activities began with a visit to the Integrated Planning and Control room, followed by a site visit to observe operational activities in the port area firsthand. Next, participants attended an interactive presentation of PTP Nonpetikemas' company profile with company management. This included an introduction to operational services, the strategic role of multipurpose terminals, and the company's contribution to supporting the smooth flow of national logistics.

For PTP Nonpetikemas, academic visits are not only a contribution to education but also an effort to strengthen relationships with stakeholders and the academic community on an ongoing basis. Previously, the company hosted visits from Maritim Muda in early January and March as part of an effort to introduce PTP Nonpetikemas' business processes and operations to the younger generation of maritime professionals.

Through these various activities, the company hopes that students and visiting participants can gain insight and experience that will be useful as academic and professional provisions in the future.

As a multipurpose terminal operator, PTP Nonpetikemas remains committed to providing professional, reliable, and sustainable port services to support national logistics growth.
