BANTEN INDONESIA (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Non Petikemas) in collaboration with Pelindo Regional 2 Banten held a Portpress and media visit activity at Ciwandan Port, Banten, Tuesday (19/5), as part of an effort to strengthen relations and strengthen public information disclosure and synergy with various mass media.
This activity was attended by representatives from a number of local and national media to see firsthand the facilities, services, and operational activities of Ciwandan Port, which is one of the important national logistics, industrial, and transportation hubs in the Banten area and its surroundings.
On the occasion, General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten, Benny Ariadi, greeted reporters and introduced Ciwandan Port as the company's main port in Banten Province. He explained that Ciwandan Port is a strategic port that plays a vital role in supporting national logistics distribution, particularly for dry bulk, liquid bulk, and general cargo, which are used as industrial raw materials.
Furthermore, Benny also highlighted the terminalization of Ciwandan Port, which is a strategic step implemented to provide more specific, integrated, and professional port services according to the characteristics of the commodities served, in order to make logistics activities more efficient, measurable, and transparent.
"Industrial developments and the needs and demands of service users are constantly evolving. Therefore, port services must also be able to adapt, including by implementing a more focused, faster, and more professional terminalization system to provide optimal service and support the smooth flow of national logistics," said Benny.
In addition, Benny appreciated all stakeholders involved in organizing the Portpress annual Journalism Competition, this program can be a momentum for journalists to be able to see firsthand the modernization and digitalization of operations at Ciwandan Port, as well as provide an understanding for the media about the world of ports in a more holistic way.
On the same occasion, the Branch Manager of PTP Non-container Banten Branch, Andi Purwantoro, expressed his appreciation to Pelindo Regional 2 Banten for supporting Portpress activities so that they could be realized optimally.
