MAKASSAR INDONESIA (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 distributed a total of 35 sacrificial cows (Hewan Qurban Sapi) nsimultaneously throughout the Regional 4 work area in celebration of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah/2026 AD as part of the company's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program.
Pelindo President Director Achmad Muchtasyar stated that the Eid al-Adha momentum is an important part for the company to strengthen the values of social care and togetherness with the communities around the port's operational areas.
"Through this qurbani program, Pelindo wants to ensure that the company's presence is not only focused on port services, but also provides tangible social benefits to the community. Eid al-Adha teaches the values of sincerity, mutual cooperation, and caring, which are also part of the company's work culture," said Achmad Muchtasyar on the sidelines of the qurbani animal slaughtering ceremony at the Pelindo Official Residence Complex in Makassar on Wednesday (May 27, 2026).
According to him, the distribution of sacrificial animals also represents Pelindo's commitment to implementing sustainable TJSL programs that have a direct impact on the community, especially in areas around the port.
He added that the simultaneous activities carried out throughout Pelindo's area were a symbol of the synergy and spirit of togetherness of Pelindo Port Captains in sharing the blessings of Eid al-Adha.
Meanwhile, Executive Director 4 of Pelindo Regional 4, Abdul Azis, said that this year's implementation of the sacrifice involved all branches in the Regional 4 environment with the distribution of sacrificial animals adjusted to the needs of the community in each work area.
"A total of 35 sacrificial cows were distributed and slaughtered simultaneously at all Pelindo Regional 4 branches. The sacrificial meat was then distributed to people in need," explained Abdul Azis.
He assessed that this activity was not only a routine annual agenda of the company, but also part of an effort to strengthen harmonious relations between Pelindo and the community in the port area.
"Pelindo Regional 4 wants to continue growing alongside the community. Therefore, through CSR programs like this, we hope the company's benefits can be directly felt by the community, especially during the Eid al-Adha holiday," he added.
