SURABAYA (ISL News, March 2, 2026) – Walikota Surabaya Eri Cahyadi paid a working visit to PT Terminal Teluk Lamong on Sunday (March 1, 2026). This visit was part of an effort to strengthen collaboration between the Surabaya City Government and the Pelindo Group in supporting infrastructure development and improving the performance and connectivity of logistics services in the city.
During the visit, the Walikota of Surabaya personally inspected the operation of the Integrated Planning and Control Room, which serves as a digital, real-time system for planning and controlling terminal activities. This facility allows comprehensive monitoring of ship berthing planning, container and dry bulk commodity movements, and integrated terminal operational management to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and smooth logistics flows.
The visit was attended by members of the Pelindo Group, PT Pelindo Regional 3, the Java Sub-Regional Office of PT Pelindo Regional 3, and PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas. Also in attendance were representatives from several port agencies and associations, including the Tanjung Perak Main Port Authority and Harbormaster Office, the East Java ALFI/ILFA Regional Executive Board, the East Java Logindo Club Regional Executive Board, and the Surabaya City INSA Regional Executive Board.
On this occasion, stakeholders conveyed suggestions and input directly to the Mayor of Surabaya, particularly regarding strengthening supporting infrastructure, improving logistics service connectivity, and collaborative efforts to support smooth logistics distribution in the port area and the Surabaya City area.
The President Director of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, David Pandapotan Sirait, said that this visit was a strategic momentum in strengthening collaboration between terminal operators and local governments in supporting sustainable development.

Meanwhile, Walikota Surabaya Eri Cahyadi emphasized the importance of building a shared understanding and strong collaboration between the local government and Pelindo in supporting the development of the port and city areas.
