BANTEN INDONESIA (ISL News, February 2026) – PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) Banten Branch handled the first export of Wind Mill Tower belonging to PT Kenertec Power System to Canada via Pier 05A of Ciwandan Port, Banten in mid-February 2026.
The inaugural shipment of wind turbine tower components marks a significant milestone in supporting the national renewable energy industry's efforts to penetrate the global market. These project commodities, with their unique dimensions and weight, are handled through port services that prioritize safety, timeliness, and international operational standards.
PTP Non-container Banten Branch Manager Andi Purwantoro said that this success was the result of synergy between port operators, shipping companies, customs agencies, and all relevant stakeholders.
"Handling project cargo like wind mill towers requires careful planning, specialized equipment, and intensive coordination. We ensure the entire process, from receiving and stacking to loading onto the ship, runs safely and efficiently," said Andi.
The exported wind mill tower is part of a wind power plant component to be used in a renewable energy project in Canada. The loading process was carried out under strict supervision and supported by large-capacity heavy equipment to ensure the safety of the cargo during operations.
The success of this initial export further strengthens the role of PTP Non-container Banten Branch as a national strategic logistics hub capable of handling project cargo and oversized commodities.
