PADANG (ISL News, February 25, 2026) - IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) continues to strengthen facilities and evaluate operations in the Teluk Bayur Port Area to ensure smooth container loading and unloading services. This step is part of the company's commitment to following up on user feedback and maintaining the terminal's reliability as a logistics hub in West Sumatra.
As part of its service improvement efforts, IPC TPK has provided an additional Reach Stacker to support container lifting and shifting activities in the field. This additional unit is expected to increase operational flexibility and maintain service productivity for service users.
IPC TPK Corporate Secretary, Pramestie Wulandary, said that the company periodically evaluates the readiness of equipment and operational needs of the terminal.
"We continue to adjust and strengthen our facilities to meet operational needs in the field. The addition of this Reach Stacker is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure optimal loading and unloading services at Teluk Bayur and provide time certainty for our customers," said Pramestie.
IPC TPK Teluk Bayur Area currently operates three Gantry Luffing Cranes (GLC), three Rubber-Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTGC), and one Reach Stacker to support terminal activities. In January 2026, container loading and unloading capacity reached 8,877 TEUs.
In addition to adding equipment, IPC TPK is also strengthening its preventive maintenance program and optimizing equipment operational patterns to maintain reliability and minimize potential service disruptions. These steps are being taken continuously as part of improving terminal service standards.
As part of the national port ecosystem under the coordination of Pelindo, IPC TPK continues to communicate with associations, logistics business actors, and shipping companies to ensure service needs can be responded to collaboratively.
"We are committed to maintaining user trust through continuous service quality improvement. Synergy with all stakeholders is key to Teluk Bayur remaining reliable and competitive in supporting goods distribution in West Sumatra," he concluded.
