JAKARTA (ISL News) - PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL), a subholding of the State-Owned Port Company that consistently engages in empowerment and social contribution activities, distributed humanitarian aid to communities affected by floods in the North Jakarta area. This rapid disaster response action was provided through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Program to residents around Tugu Utara Village, Koja District, North Jakarta, Wednesday (28/01/2026).
The flooding that has hit several areas in Jakarta in recent days has impacted community activities and the availability of basic necessities. In response, SPSL acted quickly by providing aid in the form of basic food packages to be distributed to a public kitchen established by the community in RW 010, Tugu Utara Village.
As a form of corporate social responsibility and concern, this assistance is expected to ease the burden on affected residents, especially in the SPSL operational area.
Senior Vice President of Corporate Secretariat of PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik, Dewi Fitriyani, stated that this assistance is a tangible manifestation of SPSL's concern for the community struggling to cope with the impact of the flood disaster.
"We hope this assistance can help ease the burden on those affected by the floods and ensure their basic needs are met during this difficult time. SPSL will continue to collaborate with the government to provide appropriate and sustainable support," said Dewi.
The Jakarta Provincial Government, through the Governor and the Flood Disaster Task Force, continues to urge various parties to collaborate in emergency response and recovery for affected communities, including providing public kitchens, emergency health services, and adequate evacuation facilities. This directive aligns with SPSL's efforts to distribute aid quickly and effectively to those in need.
One of the aid recipients, Habib S, Head of RT 013 RW 010, Tugu Utara Subdistrict, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik's concern.
