SURABAYA (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3 has once again achieved success in the field of occupational safety and health by receiving the Zero Accident Award from the Governor of East Java. The award was given for Pelindo Regional 3's success in consistently implementing the Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Program, thus achieving 9,671,112 man-hours without any accidents from November 1, 2012, to October 31, 2024.
This award is stated in the Award Charter Number 100.3.3/111/KPTS/033.2/2026 which was signed and presented by the Governor of East Java during a series of official activities in Surabaya. The presentation of the charter was carried out directly to representatives of Pelindo Regional 3. East Java Governor Khofifah Indah Parawansa expressed appreciation for Pelindo Regional 3's commitment to maintaining occupational safety in the high-risk port sector.
"The East Java Provincial Government commends companies for their success in consistently implementing occupational safety and health. This Zero Accident achievement demonstrates that a strong OHS culture can go hand in hand with productivity and operational sustainability, " said Khofifah.
Meanwhile, Executive Director of Pelindo Regional 3, Daru Wicaksono Julianto, said that the award was the result of a joint commitment from all Pelindo Regional 3 employees to make occupational safety the company's top priority.
"This Zero Accident Award demonstrates Pelindo Regional 3's commitment to implementing a comprehensive OHS culture. This achievement is inseparable from the active role of all workers and management in implementing standard operating procedures for occupational safety and health in a disciplined manner ," said Daru Wicaksono Julianto, Executive Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3.
This achievement demonstrates Pelindo Regional 3's commitment to building and implementing a culture of safety and health across all operations, particularly in supporting high-risk port activities. Pelindo Regional 3 emphasized that its success in achieving the Zero Accident award is inseparable from the active role of all employees.
