JAKARTA TANJUNG PRIOK (ISL News) - PT Pelindo Solusi Maritim (PSM) undocked the KRI Tanjung Kambani. This vessel became the first to be undocked at PSM's Jakarta I shipyard in 2026. Undocking is the process of removing a ship from a dock and returning it to the water after repairs or maintenance are completed.
This vessel is a BAP/Personnel and Vehicle Transport vessel with a Length Over All (LOA) of 114.5 m, a Breadth of 19.80 m, and a Deadweight Tonnage of 6,165 tons. Construction took approximately one month at the Ancol shipyard.
"Some of the repairs carried out on this ship are general repairs such as bottom area scraping, blasting and painting, Ultrasonic Testing, propeller repair (CPP), bow thruster repair and anchor chain maintenance. Today's undocking marks the opening of 2026 for ship repair activities at our shipyard. For this January, there are 3 ships docked and next February, there will be 2 ships docked. The target during 2026, PSM can complete a minimum of 40 ships with a total of 33,817 GT which will be worked on at its own and partner shipyards," said Nurhadi, PSM's Commercial and Operations Director.
