JAKARTA, INDONESIA (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), or Pelindo, along with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, visited Aceh Province to support accelerated disaster management and post-disaster economic recovery. The visit, which took place from January 14-17, 2026, focused on disaster-affected areas, particularly in Central Aceh Regency.
The visit was led by the Assistant Deputy for State-Owned Enterprise Development for Infrastructure and Logistics at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Yuli Sri Wilanti, and involved a number of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and partners.
On this occasion, Pelindo distributed aid to disaster victims in Central Aceh, including 100 basic food packages containing rice, canned fish, cooking oil, granulated sugar, a carton of eggs, and wheat biscuits. Furthermore, 50 large blankets and 50 emergency lamps were distributed to meet the basic needs of post-disaster residents.
Pelindo Corporate Secretariat Group Head, Ali Sodikin, emphasized Pelindo's commitment to supporting government programs, especially in efforts to help recover communities affected by disasters.
"Pelindo is committed to continuously supporting government programs, including collaborating with various agencies and other state-owned enterprises to distribute humanitarian aid. This is part of our responsibility to serve wholeheartedly in supporting the recovery of disaster-affected communities," said Ali.
Ali added that Pelindo had previously distributed aid to affected areas in coordination and collaboration with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), and the local government.
As a port operator, Pelindo continues to ensure the smooth flow of aid and logistics to areas in need by accelerating services and taking a number of steps to facilitate the loading and unloading of goods at the port.
"The presence of Pelindo, along with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and other state-owned enterprises, is expected to accelerate economic recovery and revitalize social activities in Aceh, particularly in Central Aceh. We believe that through solid and mutually reinforcing synergy, the aid distributed will be more targeted and truly beneficial to the affected communities," Ali concluded.
