AMBON INDONESIA (ISL News) – PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) through the Ambon Container Terminal (TPK) distributed Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) assistance in early 2026. The assistance provided included 100 basic food packages, compensation, educational assistance, and support for the construction of houses of worship for the community around the operational area of the Ambon Container Port.

100 basic food packages were distributed in Kudamati Village. Assistance was distributed to the Ambon Blessings Service House Foundation, while assistance for a place of worship was provided to the Nurul Huda Mosque in Jalan Baru Village, Ambon. Educational assistance was also provided to the Ambon Cendekia Foundation.

TPK Ambon Terminal Head Yandi Sofyan Hadi stated that the TJSL program is a company commitment, carried out continuously as a form of concern for the community surrounding the port. "Our routine TJSL programs include donations to orphans, educational assistance, basic food aid, support for places of worship, and other assistance programs as a manifestation of the company's concern," Yandi said.

Yandi also explained that the Ambon TPK is also implementing a coastal community empowerment program through the development of lobster cultivation in Poka Village. This program is a synergy between Pelindo Terminal Petikemas Ambon, BPPSDMKP, BPPP Ambon, and Mutiara Pelindo to support community economic empowerment.

"The assistance distributed includes cultivation facilities and infrastructure, lobster seeds, and training for coastal fishermen and women's groups," he added.

Meanwhile, representatives of aid recipients expressed their appreciation for the TPK Ambon's commitment. Karel Leatemia, head of neighborhood association (RT/RW) 004/08 in Kudamati Village, stated that the food aid was a significant help to residents in need.

"We would like to thank Pelindo Terminal Petikemas Ambon. This basic food aid is truly beneficial for our residents, especially at the start of the year. We hope Pelindo continues to thrive and continue to be there to help the community," said Karel.

The Chairman of the Ambon Blessings Service House Foundation, Theofilus Matrutty, expressed similar appreciation. He assessed that the CSR program has had a real impact, especially for those in need. "Thank you for the attention and participation of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas Ambon. While this assistance is not necessarily measured by its size, it is very meaningful and can be a blessing to those in need," said Theofilus.

Pelindo Terminal Petikemas Ambon affirmed its continued synergy with local governments and stakeholders through its CSR (Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility) program, which sustainably impacts social, economic, and environmental aspects. This initiative aligns with the Pelindo Group's vision to support national economic growth and strengthen the competitiveness of the maritime sector in eastern Indonesia.
