MAKASSAR (ISL News) - On November 15, 2025, Drajat Sulistyo, Commercial Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), or Pelindo, emphasized the importance of strengthening commercial capabilities across all port service lines. He stated that inter-functional collaboration and service innovation must continue to be accelerated so that Pelindo can meet the increasingly dynamic needs of its service users.
This was conveyed by the Commercial Director of Pelindo in his direction during the Evaluation and Coordination Meeting which took place in the 7th Floor Meeting Room of the Pelindo Regional 4 Office on Thursday (11/13/2025), which was also attended by the Finance Director of Pelindo, Bachtiar Soeria Atmadja, Executive Director 4 of Pelindo Regional 4, Abdul Azis, as well as all structural officials and general managers within Pelindo Regional 4.
This meeting serves as a forum for consolidation between the board of directors and all unit leaders to monitor performance achievements, identify challenges in the field, and align strategic steps to improve the quality of service and the effectiveness of Pelindo's operations in the Eastern Indonesia Region (KTI).
"Commercial performance is a crucial pillar in supporting Pelindo's business sustainability. Therefore, all units in Region 4 must ensure that commercial strategy, service quality, and customer satisfaction are aligned and measurable," said Drajat.
He added that the use of technology, consistency of service standards, and speed in responding to customer needs are key factors that must continue to be improved.
Pelindo's Commercial Director also emphasized that asset optimization within Pelindo Regional 4 is a company priority, both through internal utilization and strategic collaboration with potential partners, so that each asset can provide maximum added value for the company and service users.
Meanwhile, Pelindo's Finance Director, Bachtiar Soeria Atmadja, said that the company's sustainable performance is highly dependent on the ability of all units to maintain financial stability, increase efficiency, and optimize resource use.
"Efficiency isn't just about savings, but also about ensuring every process is effective, transparent, and adds value to the company. Region 4 plays a significant role in revenue contribution, so disciplined and accurate financial management must become a part of our work culture," Bachtiar explained.
On the same occasion, Executive Director 4 of Pelindo Regional 4, Abdul Azis, said that Regional 4 continues to be committed to accelerating service improvements, increasing operational performance, and encouraging a work culture that is responsive to the needs of service users.
"We at Region 4 strive to maintain consistent service, strengthen process digitalization, and ensure all operational and commercial units are integrated. The presence of the Board of Directors at this meeting provides us with renewed energy to continue improving and elevating service standards," said Abdul Azis.
This Evaluation and Coordination Meeting also serves as a means to strengthen cross-functional collaboration, clarify strategic objectives, and ensure that all work programs in Region 4 are aligned with corporate targets.
It is hoped that all work units in Region 4 can continue to play an active role in increasing Pelindo's competitiveness as the largest port manager in Indonesia.
Site Visit
After conducting an evaluation and coordination meeting, Pelindo Commercial Director, Drajat Sulistyo accompanied by Executive Director 4 of Pelindo Regional 4, Abdul Azis and General Manager (GM) of Pelindo Regional 4 Makassar, Iwan Sjarifuddin, conducted a series of site visits to several strategic facilities in Makassar, Friday (11/14/2025).
A series of site visits were conducted with the agenda of directly reviewing the operations of the Anging Mammiri Passenger Terminal, Makassar Port, Makassar Container Terminal (TPM), and Makassar New Port (MNP).
Through this visit, management wants to ensure service readiness, operational effectiveness, and the acceleration of transformation towards increasingly standardized, safe, and efficient port services in Eastern Indonesia.
Pelindo is committed to providing the best service for service users and strengthening the role of ports as national connectivity hubs.
