
PANJANG LAMPUNG (ISL News) - That as one form of commitment of Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang in implementing Occupational Safety and Health or known as K3 in the work area. That the implementation of K3 is based on the Decree of the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia Number 316 of 2024, this year's National K3 Month will take place from January 12 to February 12, 2025.
The implementation of K3 can reduce the risk of work accidents and is an effort to create a healthy and safe work environment that can cause decreased work productivity and more fatally can cause loss of life (fatality) and in order to commemorate the National K3 month in 2025, located at the AKHLAK Building Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang Tuesday (04/02/2024) which was led directly by the General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang Imam Rahmiyadi together with all maritime stakeholder leaders and maritime associations and other maritime elements of Regional Port 2 Panjang, conducted a knowledge refreshment and signing of the K3 Implementation commitment with the theme "Strengthening Human Resource Capacity in Supporting the Implementation of the K3 Management System (SMK3) to Increase Productivity".
Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang General Manager Imam Rahmiyadi said that this activity is part of Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang's efforts to campaign for K3 in a sustainable and continuous manner on how we improve quality, competitive human resources and understand K3 more comprehensively so that all risky work can be carried out safely and comfortably.
In addition, this activity also aims to build a strong culture of safety, health and security, create awareness and motivate each other, both workers and the community around the port, to comply with efficient and productive HSSE practices. We as the Port operator will always be committed to K3, especially to all stakeholders in the Panjang Port work area. That K3 is in line with Pelindo's vision of becoming a world-class port manager. Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang is committed to continuing to be consistent in implementing K3 to achieve zero accidents.
"We work in an environment full of risk, but through a strong K3 culture, disciplined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and attention to unsafe conditions and unsafe actions, we can create a safer work environment, "We want to ensure that every individual understands the importance of occupational health and safety. "This is not just the task of the K3 team, but a shared responsibility. Through safety patrols, we build a stronger culture to recognize and manage risks," he said.
