CIWANDAN BANTEN (ISL News) - Last Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 09:00 WIB until finished, around 50 employees of PT Pelindo Regional 2 Banten and representatives from each subsidiary and work partners in the Pelindo Regional 2 Banten environment took part in the training agenda using APAR (Light Fire Extinguishers) and Safety Training.
The purpose of this training is to train preparedness for initial handling of fires in the work area. This training is carried out to improve competence in handling fires when conditions arise suddenly so that efforts made to extinguish the fire can be immediately addressed correctly.
Led by Agus Fajri as the Business Compliance Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten who guided participants in the theory and practice of fire extinguishing. In the theory section, participants were given insight into the types of fires and how to handle them. While in the practical section, training participants were directed to conduct simulations including fire extinguishing techniques using APAR.
This APAR (Light Fire Extinguisher) training was delivered directly by Vinsensius S Pandjaitan (Dept Head HSE PT. Taruna Bina Sarana) with the delivery of material regarding the types of APAR (Light Fire Extinguisher) available, namely Powder-filled APAR and CO2 Gas-filled APAR.
"It is hoped that by participating in this training, the competency can be improved, there will be insight for the training participants not to panic when a fire occurs and the participants will also have the readiness to involve themselves in the extinguishing and rescue process when needed," said Vinsensius in his opening speech.
