JAKARTA (ISL News) - The Ministry of Transportation Cq Directorate General of Sea Transportation through the Tanjung Priok Main Harbormaster and Port Authority (KSOP) Office carried out the Socialization of KM No.11 of 2024 concerning the Master Plan (RIP) of the Integrated Tanjung Priok and Marunda Ports, at the Hotel Merlynn Park, Central Jakarta, last Wednesday (12/6/2024).
Expert Staff to the Minister of Transportation for Safety and Connectivity Ir. Subagyo. MT in his speech at the same time opening the Tanjung Priok and Marunda Integrated RIP Socialization activities, conveyed that the Integrated Tanjung Priok and Marunda Port Master Plan (RIP) had become legal, after a long wait.
"Because at that time we were waiting for a recommendation from the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province for approximately 5 years, now it has been published through Decree of the Minister of Transportation No. 11 of 2024 concerning the Integrated Tanjung Priok and Marunda Port Master Plan, which is the target of Presidential Instruction No. 5 of 2020 concerning National PK Strategy as well as Presidential Decree No.20 of 2018 concerning National Logistics Ecosystem (NLE), especially pillar No.4 related to Infrastructure and Port Spatial Planning," said Subagyo.
It is said, with the publication of the Integrated Tanjung Priok and Marunda RIP, all business actors in Tanjung Priok, investors will have legal certainty. As a regulator, you will have the certainty of not being punished.
Subagyo said that with the publication of this RIP, of course in the future the Tanjung Priok port will continue to develop. Because ports have an important role as a transportation network node as a gateway to the economy where transportation modes support industrial or trade activities as well as the distribution of consolidated production of cargo and goods in realizing the Archipelago vision and the sovereignty of the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia.
"The port will also be useful for increasing connectivity between islands, supporting regional and national economic growth as well as supporting the national logistics system to increase access to national and international markets," he said.
Subagyo said that currently 65% of export activities in Indonesia are via Tanjung Priok, meaning that Tanjung Priok Port is a barometer of the national economy. Of course, this must be guaranteed to provide all services, because 65% of Indonesia's exports are via Tanjung Priok.
For this reason, we must also pay attention to bureaucratic and public service reform strategies to increase exports and imports at customs and ports with the target of reducing dwilling time at ports by 2024, ranging from 2.2 to 3.2 days. So the Tanjung Priok port has succeeded in exceeding this target with an average dwilling time as of May 2024 of 2.67 days.
"This is one of the targets that has been achieved, both with the National Strategy for PK and NLE as well as orders from the President of the Republic of Indonesia. "To optimize reducing dwilling time at ports, especially Tanjung Priok, to 2.2 days," he said.
Subagyo added that considering the important role of ports, development planning and creating a port is outlined in one port master plan document, because every port must have a RIP, it is very important and crucial to determine the success of operational development at the port, of course it must be in synergy with each other so that it can increase economic growth.
The socialization event for KM No.11 of 2024 concerning the Master Plan (RIP) of the Integrated Tanjung Priok and Marunda Ports was also attended by various relevant government agencies, TNI, Polri, BUMN, and service users in the surrounding Tanjung Priok ports.
