BANTEN (ISL News, February 19, 2026) – The patrol ship KN Jembio-P.215 belonging to the Tanjung Priok KPLP Base successfully extinguished the fire on the KM Inti Marina VII which was on fire in the waters around Ular Island, Banten.
Information about the incident was received at 11:00 a.m. WIB. Following up on the report, the KN Jembio-P.215 immediately departed at 11:30 a.m. WIB to the scene. A patrol boat arrived at the KM Inti Marina VII at 2:15 p.m. WIB and immediately began intensive and measured firefighting efforts.
In carrying out the operation, KN Jembio-P.215 has coordinated with a number of related agencies, including VTS Merak, KSOP Class I Banten, Basarnas, as well as local TNI AL and Polairud elements, to ensure that emergency response is optimal, integrated, and effective.
Thanks to the rapid response, professionalism of personnel, and solid coordination with all related elements, the fire was completely extinguished at 3:30 p.m. WIB.
Based on information received from VTS Merak via radio communication, the total number of passengers and crew was 32 people, with details: 29 people survived, 1 person died, and 2 people are still being searched for.
All survivors have been successfully evacuated and secured by the Banten Class I KSOP for further treatment. Search efforts for those still missing are ongoing.
Head of the Tanjung Priok KPLP Base, Fourmansyah, SH., MH., MM., expressed his appreciation for the alertness and dedication of the patrol team in handling the emergency situation.
