WEST KOTAWARINGIN (ISL News) - In commemoration of National Customer Day (Harpelnas) 2026 held on Thursday (September 10), PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, through the Bumiharjo Container Terminal (TPK), reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining supply chain stability and smooth logistics flow in West Kotawaringin Regency. This commitment is realized through strengthening strategic synergies with service users, partners, and stakeholders within the Kumai Port environment.
For the Bumiharjo TPK, the National Service Day (Harpelnas) is not just a routine celebration, but also a strategic opportunity to capture the aspirations and direct needs of business owners. Solid collaboration between stakeholders is believed to be key to ensuring smooth logistics distribution, which directly impacts the regional economy.
Terminal Head of TPK Bagendang Bumiharjo, Akhmad Fajar, said that TPK Bumiharjo has a central role in supporting loading and unloading activities and distribution of logistics goods through Bumiharjo-Kumai Port.
"Smooth terminal operations not only impact port performance indicators but also serve as the lifeblood that ensures the effective and continuous flow of goods and essential public needs. Therefore, synergy with all parties is essential," said Fajar.
This central role and commitment to maintaining operations are directly reflected in the company's positive performance. Container throughput at Bumiharjo Port has reached 30,626 TEUs, a more than 6% increase compared to the 28,846 TEUs achieved in 2025. This positive trend also indicates the revitalization of trade and economic activity in the West Kotawaringin region.
Pelindo's proactive steps have been applauded by shipping industry players and port workers. Majekur Arajak, Chairman of the Indonesian National Shipowners Association (INSA) branch in West Kotawaringin, believes transparent partnerships are crucial in navigating the logistics dynamics on the ground.
"We appreciate the excellent collaboration we have established with Bumiharjo's Customer Service Team (TPK). Through this Customer Day, we hope to maintain strong communication, allowing us to address various operational challenges in the field together, creating a more efficient logistics ecosystem," said Majekur.
As a service provider, TPK Bumiharjo is also open to customer feedback. Temas Shipping Kumai's Head, Willy Octora Rahu, representing container shipping, emphasized the importance of infrastructure reliability.
"We hope that Bumiharjo Port Authority (TPK) will continue to maintain and improve the readiness of its loading and unloading facilities and equipment, so that the Service Level Agreement (SLA) for service users can remain optimal and provide added value for shipping efficiency," said Willy.
In response, Pelindo Terminal Petikemas management ensured that customer feedback would be the primary foundation for evaluating and continuously improving service quality. The company recognizes that service excellence stems from operational readiness coupled with open communication across the logistics ecosystem.
Carrying the spirit of Harpelnas 2026, "Serving with Heart, Strengthening Synergy, Strengthening the Logistics Ecosystem," Pelindo Terminal Petikemas is optimistic that the integrated ecosystem will encourage trade and distribution activities in West Kotawaringin to continue growing, as well as providing a positive multiplier effect for the regional and national economy.
