SURABAYA (ISL News) - PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) recorded positive performance until August 2026 with a container throughput of 2,027,914 TEUs, a 12.38% increase compared to the same period the previous year of 1,804,442 TEUs. This achievement contributed 30.59% to the national growth of PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas' container throughput, which in the same period recorded 5.51% year-on-year growth.
TTL's performance growth was primarily driven by the international container segment, which reached 389,682 TEUs, a 78.69% jump compared to the 218,076 TEUs recorded in the same period last year. Meanwhile, domestic container throughput reached 1,638,232 TEUs, a 3.27% increase compared to the 1,586,366 TEUs recorded in the previous year.
Positive performance in the international segment was driven, among other things, by the addition of 23 international ad hoc vessel calls at the Teluk Lamong Container Terminal (TPK). In the domestic segment, TPK Nilam recorded a 17% growth in container traffic to 368,127 TEUs, compared to 315,422 TEUs in the same period last year. Vessel calls at TPK Nilam also increased by 16 calls to 550 calls. Meanwhile, TPK Berlian's domestic container traffic grew 4.1% to 916,026 TEUs, from 880,153 TEUs in the same period last year.
This increase in volume was accompanied by maintained operational service effectiveness and reliability. The Effective Time/Berthing Time (ET/BT) indicator, which indicates the effectiveness of loading and unloading time compared to the total time a vessel is moored, exceeded targets at all terminals.
TPK Teluk Lamong International recorded ET/BT of 87.93% of the target of 81%, TPK Teluk Lamong Domestic 77.14% of the target of 73%, TPK Nilam 81.59% of the target of 78%, and TPK Berlian 84.45% of the target of 80%.
Syaiful Anam, Corporate Secretary of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, stated that the growth in container traffic through August 2026 demonstrates the company's continued growth in user confidence and reflects its commitment to maintaining productivity and service quality.
"Volume growth must go hand in hand with increased productivity and service quality. Therefore, TTL continues to ensure that operations at all terminals are effective, fast, and safe, while providing the best service to our customers," said Syaiful.
According to him, this achievement also serves as encouragement for all TTL employees to maintain positive momentum until the end of the year. "The achievements through August motivate the entire TTL team to continue improving performance, maintaining consistent service quality, and sustaining growth momentum until the end of 2026," he added.
TTL's solid achievement until August 2026 is in line with Danantara Indonesia's strategic agenda of encouraging increased service consistency and operational reliability to maintain smooth logistics flows and support the growth of national trade activities.
Through collaboration with stakeholders, TTL continues to encourage the acceleration and efficiency of loading and unloading services as part of efforts to maintain a smooth supply chain and increase Indonesia's logistics competitiveness.
One concrete step was realized through the EAZI Optimization Trial at TPK Berlian which began on August 4, 2026. The program, a collaboration between TTL and KSOP Utama Tanjung Perak, succeeded in accelerating the ship changeover process and significantly reducing waiting times between ships.
Going forward, TTL will continue to develop various operational innovations and strengthen collaboration with stakeholders to improve productivity and service reliability, while also providing added value to service users and the national logistics ecosystem.
