BANTEN (ISL News) - The joint SAR team continues to search for a group of journalists who reportedly lost contact while covering the activities of Mount Anak Krakatau in the waters of the Sunda Strait, Banten.
The search operation was carried out by involving a number of elements and fleets to reach the area thought to be the location of the group.
In supporting these efforts, the readiness of supporting facilities is an important part so that the mobilization of personnel and search fleets can run smoothly.
Acting General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten, Achmad Yoga Suryadarma, said that Pelindo Banten also supports the search efforts carried out by the joint SAR team by providing the port facilities needed to support operations, including facilitating the use of the dock area at Ciwandan Port as a mooring location for the State Vessel (KN) SAR 247 Tetuka owned by Basarnas.
The facility is used to support the operational activities of the SAR team in carrying out searches for the group that lost contact in the waters of Mount Anak Krakatau.
This port facility support is part of Pelindo Banten's contribution in helping smooth search and rescue operations.
Pelindo Regional 2 Banten also ensures that coordination within the port environment runs smoothly so that the operational needs of SAR vessels can be supported according to provisions and conditions in the field.
"We, Pelindo Regional 2 Banten, are supporting the search efforts carried out by the joint SAR team. We are providing dock facilities at Ciwandan Port to support the operations of the KN SAR 247 Tetuka during its search mission. We hope this support will help smooth the search process," said Yoga.
In addition to supporting the operational needs of the search, Yoga also expressed his concern and prayers for the group of journalists who are still being searched for.
"Our best wishes go out to the entire group of journalists and their families who are still waiting for news. We hope the search goes smoothly, that the entire group will be found safe and sound soon, and that the families who are waiting will be given strength," Yoga concluded.
