JAKARTA (ISL News) – In order to welcome World Environment Day 2026 with the theme: Now For Climate, Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva together with PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (Pelindo Group) is fully committed to taking a real role in facing the challenges of the Triple Planetary Crisis (climate change, loss of biodiversity, and pollution).
Through the Environmental and Social Responsibility (TJSL) Program, this year 2,500 hardwood tree seedlings were planted in several of the company's operational areas. This action is part of the Pelindo Group Greenbelting Program, in order to strengthen the coastal ecological function and absorb carbon emissions.
A total of 1,250 tree seedlings were planted in Pinang Sebatang Barat Village, Pinang Sebatang Timur Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency, Riau Province and around the work area at Perawang Port, on Friday (10/07), while another 1,250 tree seedlings will be planted around the company's work area at Belawan Port.
The event, attended by officials from Pinang Sebatang Timur Village, Pinang Sebatang Barat Village, Pelindo Regional 1 Pekanbaru, and the Perawang Community Empowerment and Development Team (TPK Perawang), emphasized the importance of implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. Strong synergy between the government, business, and community is key to achieving environmental sustainability.
