"There are various potential hazards on board, so it's important to implement disciplined procedures and K3 awareness to prevent workplace accidents. Furthermore, we encourage cadets' active participation in safety drills to train their risk management skills," he explained. "Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn in accordance with safety regulations. Don't forget the risk of 'TER': cuts, burns, punctures," Dhani emphasized.

One way to support cadet learning is on the Pelindo Marine tugboat, KT. BIMA 315, operating out of Tanjung Perak, Surabaya. The captain of KT. "During the internship , the crew is active and welcoming to cadets who want to learn on our ship. We introduce them to work culture, navigation equipment, and ship machinery, so cadets gain a comprehensive understanding of operations, filling the gap between school lessons and field practice," explained Galuh.

He also added that throughout the learning process, occupational safety and health principles were consistently emphasized to foster a professional and standardized work culture. "Our ship's crew also doesn't hesitate to remind and reprimand each other if anything is unsafe— safety comes first, " he added.

Arga, a cadet from Tarano State Vocational School 1 in Sumbawa, shared his experience as a cadet with the crew of the tugboat KT. BIMA 315. "I learned a lot from my internship here. There were always challenges, insights, and memorable experiences that taught me how to become a better sailor in the future," Arga said.

"One of the most memorable experiences was when I nearly slipped due to over-excitement, and then the crew reprimanded me to be more aware of my surroundings and potential hazards so I could stay safe while working," he said.

Meanwhile, the Principal of SMK Negeri 1 Tarano, Drs. Andi Fausih AR, expressed his appreciation for the marine practice program organized by Pelindo Marine and hoped that this collaboration could continue in the future.
