JAKARTA (ISL News) – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) successfully recorded solid operational performance growth throughout the first half of this year. In the first half of 2026, the company's total container throughput reached 1,817,738 TEUs. This achievement represents a 7% increase compared to the same period the previous year, which was recorded at 1,698,339 TEUs. This positive trend was driven by high domestic and international trade activity in several of the company's strategic working areas.
"This growth achievement is the result of the company's consistency in implementing operational strategies that focus on safety, speed of service, and efficiency at each terminal," said Daniel Setiawan, Senior Manager of the IPC TPK Corporate Secretariat.
Based on operational areas, the Panjang Terminal in Lampung recorded the largest increase in loading and unloading volume during the first six months of 2026, recording a remarkable 17.4% increase. The Tanjung Priok Terminal in Jakarta contributed significantly to this growth, with a 7.9% increase in throughput, followed by the Pontianak Terminal in West Kalimantan, which also recorded a 3.8% increase compared to the first half of last year. These three terminals are key pillars supporting the high flow of goods during the first half of this year.
Meanwhile, the acceleration trend of IPC TPK's operational performance also increased on a monthly basis, particularly in June 2026. Throughout June, the company's container flow performance experienced a surge of up to 11.5% with a total volume reaching 325,017 TEUs, a significant increase from the realization of June the previous year which recorded a figure of 291,465 TEUs. In this monthly period, Panjang Terminal again dominated with the highest performance surge reaching 73.7%, followed by Tanjung Priok Terminal with 10.8%, and Palembang Terminal which also provided its best performance with growth of 9.9%.
"This growth momentum in mid-2026 also serves as a wonderful gift to celebrate IPC TPK's 13th anniversary. In line with our anniversary theme this year, '13 Years of Excellence: Elevating Operational Standards & Service Quality,' we hope this positive achievement will spur the enthusiasm of all corporate personnel to continue raising operational standards and enhancing service quality," Daniel concluded.
