To Realize a Clean and Sustainable Port, Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang Holds a Healthy Port Self-Assessment 2026

PALEMBANG (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Palembang / Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang together with the Class I Palembang Health Quarantine Center (BKK) carried out the 2026 Healthy Port Self Assessment activity . This activity is a form of Pelindo's commitment to realizing a healthy, safe, comfortable, and sustainable port environment for all service users and workers in the port area.


The self-assessment is conducted to evaluate various aspects of Healthy Port management, including environmental cleanliness, sanitation, waste management, health risk factor control, and the implementation of occupational safety and health (K3) standards. Through this self-assessment process, Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang strives to ensure that all established indicators are implemented optimally and sustainably.


Present at the event were the Head of the Class I Palembang Health Quarantine Center, Class I Palembang KSOP, Customs and Excise of TMP B Boom Baru, Palembang Immigration Office, Palembang Naval Base, Palembang Police Water Police, South Sumatra Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine Center, Class I Palembang Navigation District, Boom Baru KSK, Palembang City Health Office, PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim Area Sumatra 4, PT JAI Tbk Region IV Palembang, PT IPC TPK Palembang Area, PT PTP Palembang Branch, PT MTI Regional 3 Palembang and PT BIMA Site Palembang.


This activity, involving various stakeholders within the port environment, also serves as a means to strengthen coordination and synergy between agencies to support improvements in the quality of port services oriented toward public health. A healthy port not only supports smooth logistics and transportation activities but also plays a crucial role in maintaining the health of workers, service users, and the surrounding community.


The General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang, represented by the Business Compliance Manager, Iwan Sanjaya, stated that the implementation of the Healthy Port program is part of the company's commitment to supporting superior and sustainable service standards.


"Pelindo continues to strive to provide a clean, healthy, safe, and comfortable port environment. Through this self-assessment , we were able to identify various aspects that need improvement so that Boom Baru Port can continue to provide the best service to all service users," he said.


Pelindo hopes that a healthy lifestyle, environmental awareness, and the implementation of health standards in port areas will continue to improve. This step aligns with the company's commitment to supporting the creation of modern ports that are not only highly competitive but also provide benefits to the health and well-being of all stakeholders.


With the implementation of the 2026 Healthy Port Self-Assessment , Boom Baru Port in Palembang is expected to be increasingly prepared to become a port that meets national health standards while supporting the smooth flow of safe, efficient, and sustainable logistics in the South Sumatra region.
