PALEMBANG (ISL News) - PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM) as one of the subholdings of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) which operates in the fields of Marine, Equipment, Port Services, Dredging and Shipyard (MEPS) ensures operational readiness and compliance with shipping safety standards at Tanjung Buyut Port, Palembang City, overseeing field verification activities for the Tanjung Buyut New Boom Radio Station which has been carried out by the Tanjung Buyut Class I Navigation District, Palembang on Monday (4/5/2026).
This verification is part of the monitoring and development process for shipping communications facilities, particularly radio stations, which play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of vessels in and around the Boom Baru waters. This activity demonstrates PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim's commitment to ensuring compliance with service security.
The Navigation District team conducted on-site inspections of various technical aspects, including the suitability of radio equipment, antenna systems, frequency usage, and human resource readiness to operate the radio station. They also checked the compliance of licensing data with actual conditions in the field. This verification is conducted to issue a coast station license, issued by the Ministry of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia.
This verification aims to ensure that the Boom Baru Tanjung Buyut Radio Station has met the established operational standards, so that it is able to provide reliable, fast and accurate communication services for shipping service users.
"With this field verification, it is hoped that the Boom Baru Tanjung Buyut Radio Station can operate optimally and contribute to improving the safety and efficiency of shipping traffic in the area.
