MAKASSAR (ISL News) - PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim as part of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) which operates in the Marine, Equipment, Port Services, Dredging and Shipyard (MEPS) sector through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program carried out the cutting and distribution of sacrificial meat on Eid al-Adha 1447 H.
This holiday season provides an opportunity for companies to carry out the Qurban (animal sacrifice) program as a form of social responsibility and a commitment to sharing benefits with the surrounding community. In doing so, companies share not only as a form of social responsibility but also as a way to strengthen relationships.
In 2026, Pelindo Jasa Maritim Group distributed 23 cows and 7 goats as sacrificial animals to communities surrounding the company's operational areas, support workers, and others in need. The distribution of sacrificial animals by PJM Group took place in 13 provinces across 24 cities/regencies.
The distribution of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim's qurban program in Riau Province includes Dumai City and Bengkalis Regency, while in Riau Islands Province, it covers Batam City. In Jambi Province, it is carried out in Muaro Jambi Regency, and in Lampung Province, it is carried out in Tanggamus Regency. Furthermore, in West Java, the qurban program is carried out in Indramayu Regency, Central Java in Batang Regency, and East Java in Surabaya City and Banyuwangi Regency.
In South Kalimantan Province, the program is being implemented in Banjarmasin City, Kotabaru Regency, and Batulicin District. In East Kalimantan Province, the programs are implemented in Samarinda City, Bontang City, Balikpapan City, and the Regencies of East Kutai, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, and Paser Regency. South Sulawesi Province includes Makassar City. Central Sulawesi Province includes Banggai Regency and Donggala Regency.
Meanwhile, in eastern Indonesia, the company carried out the sacrifice in Bali Province, including Buleleng Regency and Denpasar City, while West Nusa Tenggara Province carried it out in West Lombok Regency. Top of Form Bottom of Form
In Makassar City, Pelindo Jasa Maritim Head Office, the sacrificial animal slaughtering activity was carried out on May 27, 2026 at the Antang Slaughterhouse (RPH) involving management, workers, and the company's sacrificial committee.
"This activity is a tangible manifestation of the company's concern for the community, especially those living around our operational area. Furthermore, we hope to foster a spirit of sharing among all parties involved in the sacrifice," explained Tubagus Patrick, Senior Vice President of Corporate Secretary of PJM.
Tubagus further explained that this activity is a form of corporate social responsibility, a means to strengthen the values of caring, togetherness, and social solidarity within the company and the community, as well as the implementation of the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program which is in line with the company's commitment to supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDGs 1, 2, 3 and 17.
