SURABAYA (ISL News, APRIL 14, 2026) – PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) recorded a 4.51 percent growth in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year, with container throughput reaching 694,996 TEUs. This year's achievement is higher than the 665,007 TEUs achieved in the same period in 2025.
The increase in PT Terminal Teluk Lamong's flow in the first quarter of this year was driven by the significant growth in international container flows thanks to the addition of 5 new services, namely Feeder Asia Express Service (FAX), Sea - India Service 1 (SEI1), TPI Service, TI1 Service and CIM Service, in addition to the addition of 7 ad hoc international shipping vessels, along with a significant increase in the Singapore and Malaysia routes as well as on the Taiwan and Middle East routes. In addition, domestic container flows also experienced a positive increase, especially due to the increased performance of shipping to Makassar, Kendari, and Berau at TPK Nilam.
This growth reflects the optimism of goods owners regarding the operational effectiveness and ability of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong to capture opportunities for growth in goods flow, in line with the efforts made by management to realize Operational Excellence and Customer Satisfaction through the implementation of a service digitalization strategy.
Entering the period of March 2026 which coincides with the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, TTL implemented various strategic steps to ensure the smooth flow of logistics even after Eid al-Fitr, "To ensure the smooth flow of logistics of goods throughout Eid al-Fitr and after, TTL optimizes terminal capacity, provides buffer areas for freight vehicles, and ensures the readiness of the Terminal Booking System (TBS), so that the process of arranging loads and vehicles can be carried out in an integrated manner," said Syaiful Anam, Corporate Secretary of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong.
PT TTL also consistently implements a planning and control-based operational model, reflected in the ET/BT achievement ratio, which is the comparison of effective time (effective loading and unloading time) compared to berthing time (the duration of the ship docking until sailing), with a first-quarter achievement of 86.85 percent of the target of 81 percent. Meanwhile, domestic container ships achieved 73.91 percent of the target of 73 percent.
With this achievement, TTL is optimistic that it can maintain its positive growth trend throughout 2026 and ensure its role as a strategic logistics hub in eastern Indonesia.
