JAKARTA (ISL News, March 17, 2026) – Worship activities in mosques increase significantly during Ramadan, from Tarawih prayers to Quran recitation. To support the comfort of worshippers, PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) has installed 480 meters of prayer mats in eight mosques located in eight sub-districts around Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta.
This program is part of the company's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) which is focused on strengthening community worship facilities around the port's operational area, especially in welcoming Ramadan and preparing for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
Through this initiative, IPC TPK provides direct support to mosques, which serve as centers of religious and social activity during Ramadan. The new prayer rugs are expected to improve the comfort of worshippers and have a ripple effect on the surrounding community, as mosques also serve as gathering and interaction spaces for residents during the holy month.
IPC TPK Corporate Secretary & External Relations Pramestie Wulandary said that this carpet assistance is a form of the company's concern for the needs of the community around the port area.
"Ramadan is a time for increased worship activities in mosques, from tarawih prayers and Quran recitation to various other religious activities. Through this program, we hope the community can perform their worship more comfortably and devoutly," said Pramestie.
She added that the support for worship facilities at the eight mosques in eight sub-districts is expected to provide broader benefits to the surrounding community.
"Mosques are not only places of worship, but also centers of community togetherness during Ramadan. We hope this assistance can support the community in carrying out their series of worship and welcoming Eid al-Fitr more comfortably," she added.
Through this initiative, IPC TPK wants to ensure that the company's presence in the port area not only plays a role in maintaining the smooth flow of national logistics, but also contributes to supporting social and spiritual life that has a direct impact on the community around the company's operational area, especially in the area around Tanjung Priok Port.
