JAKARTA (ISL News, March 16, 2026) – IPC Container Terminal (IPC TPK) is once again facilitating people to return to their hometowns through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, Free Mudik with Pelindo, ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. This program is part of the company's commitment to supporting a safe, comfortable, and more organized homecoming tradition, while also bringing joy to people who want to celebrate the holidy with their families in their hometowns.
IPC TPK Corporate Secretary, Pramestie Wulandary, said that this program is a form of the company's concern in supporting community mobility during the Eid period while also providing a safer and more comfortable travel alternative.
"Through this program, we want to ensure that travelers traveling home safely, comfortably, and without burdening them with transportation costs. We also hope this program can help reduce the congestion of private vehicles, especially motorcycles, on the roads during the Eid Pemudik and return travel periods," said Pramestie.
This year, IPC TPK facilitated 500 Pemudik travelers on the Jakarta-Semarang route. Twenty-five travelers departed from Jakarta to Semarang, while another 250 travelers were facilitated for the return journey from Semarang to Jakarta after the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
This annual program is part of the TJSL synergy within the Pelindo Group. IPC TPK continues to strive to maintain the quality of program implementation so that its benefits can be felt effectively by the community, especially those living near the company's operational areas.
Beyond the social aspect, this activity also serves as a form of support for efforts to create a more orderly and safe transportation ecosystem during the Eid holiday season. Travelers will also be provided with food, snacks, and drinks to accompany their journey, hopefully increasing their comfort while returning home.
More than just facilitating homecoming trips, this program also demonstrates IPC TPK's concern to share happiness during the Eid al-Fitr moment and strengthen the company's relationship with the community.
"We hope this trip will not only take travelers home, but also bring them joy as they reunite with their beloved families. We hope all participants arrive safely, celebrate Eid al-Fitr with warmth, and return to Jakarta safe and sound," Pramestie concluded.
