JAKARTA (ISL News, March 11, 2026) – Logistics activity at the start of Ramadan continued to show a positive trend across IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK)'s operational areas. As of February 2026, the company recorded container throughput of 600,416 TEUs, an 8.7% increase compared to the same period the previous year.
On a monthly basis, container traffic performance in February 2026 also showed a positive trend. IPC TPK recorded container traffic of 300,525 TEUs, a 10.6% increase compared to 271,521 TEUs in February 2025. This achievement reflects maintained logistics activity across the company's various operational areas at the start of the year.
IPC TPK Corporate Secretary, Pramestie Wulandary, stated that IPC TPK continues to strengthen terminal operations to ensure smooth container flow, particularly during Ramadan and the lead-up to the Eid al-Fitr holiday. We also support the policy of restricting freight transport operations by adjusting operational patterns and urging service users to schedule container deliveries and pick-ups in advance.
According to him, IPC TPK continues to optimize terminal facilities and increase the productivity of loading and unloading equipment in various operational areas. Furthermore, the company is strengthening the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) aspects to ensure that every operational activity is safe, efficient, and sustainable.
The largest contribution to container traffic still comes from the terminals in the Tanjung Priok area. As of February 2026, container traffic at Tanjung Priok 1 reached 208,198 TEUs, an increase of approximately 14% compared to the same period the previous year, which reached 182,727 TEUs. Meanwhile, Tanjung Priok 2 recorded container traffic of 286,613 TEUs, a 6.9% increase compared to the previous year's 268,127 TEUs.
Positive performance was also recorded at several IPC TPK terminals outside Jakarta. As of February 2026, container throughput in the Pontianak area reached 43,550 TEUs, an increase of approximately 4.9% compared to the same period the previous year, which recorded 41,504 TEUs. In the Panjang area, container throughput was recorded at 20,660 TEUs, a 20.9% increase compared to the previous year's 17,075 TEUs. Meanwhile, the Teluk Bayur area recorded container throughput of 18,561 TEUs, a 7.8% increase compared to the same period last year of 17,220 TEUs.
This growth in container traffic demonstrates the continued strength of logistics activity across our various operational areas. "Going forward, we will continue to promote cross-functional communication and coordination with various stakeholders. This collaboration is key to ensuring smooth logistics flows, especially during periods of increased distribution activity," Pramestie concluded.
