JAKARTA (ISL News, February 27, 2026) – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) has further strengthened its commitment to community empowerment by providing soft skills training and professional certification to 25 young people in the Cilincing-Kalibaru area of North Jakarta. This program equips participants with competencies in content creation, digital marketing, and web development, officially certified by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).
This program is a continuation of the previous training attended by 30 participants from the fields of graphic design, digital marketing, and content creation. In the previous implementation, the majority of participants successfully completed the training and received competency certification. Some participants even experienced increased income after acquiring additional skills in the digital field. Seeing these positive results, IPC TPK expanded the program's reach so that more productive-age youth in the coastal area of North Jakarta can gain access to competency development. IPC TPK Corporate Secretary, Pramestie Wulandary, said that developing the capacity of the younger generation is part of the company's social strategy to create a long-term impact around its operational areas. "We want this TJSL program to provide sustainable benefits. With official certification, participants have competencies relevant to current industry needs, while also opening up opportunities for independent work or entrepreneurship," said Pramestie. The opening ceremony was also attended by the Head of Kalibaru Village, the Rector of the Muhammadiyah University of Technology Jakarta, the Chairperson of the North Jakarta Muhammadiyah Youth Regional Leadership, and the Chairperson of the Cilincing Muhammadiyah Youth Branch Leadership as a form of collaborative support in encouraging capacity building for the younger generation around the port area. The training was conducted in a hybrid manner with a practice-based approach. In addition to technical training, participants also work on real projects as portfolios before taking a competency test to obtain official certification from the National Board for Standardization (BNSP). This program is designed so that participants not only understand the theory but also have proof of competency that can increase competitiveness in the workplace. In its implementation, IPC TPK collaborates with the Cilincing Muhammadiyah Youth Branch as a community organization partner and involves professional mentors and competency certification bodies. Collaboration between companies, community organizations, and educational institutions is a strategic approach in building a sustainable community development ecosystem. The Regional Leader of Muhammadiyah Youth in North Jakarta, Rizki, appreciated the program's consistency. "Synergy between the government, community organizations, and the private sector is crucial in encouraging the development of the capabilities of the younger generation. We appreciate the support of the Pelindo Group through IPC TPK, which provides skills improvement programs for communities around the port," he said. This program is part of IPC TPK's community development approach, which targets not only human resource capacity building but also environmental and safety aspects. Previously, IPC TPK has implemented a Compost Garden program in Papanggo Village for organic waste management and Fire Emergency Response Training in Warakas Village. This activity is implemented through a Joint Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme with entities within the Pelindo Group as a form of synergy to expand the impact of community empowerment around the operational area. With a total of 55 youth participating in the program over two implementation periods, IPC TPK hopes this initiative will encourage economic independence among the younger generation while creating a more productive and conducive social environment in the coastal area of North Jakarta.
