SURABAYA (ISL News, February 20, 2026) – At the start of 2026, PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) recorded positive operational performance. In January 2026, TTL's total container throughput reached 234,895 TEUs, a 9.1% increase compared to the same period last year of 215,819 TEUs.
Significant growth primarily occurred in international container traffic, reaching 49,886 TEUs, a sharp 91.9% increase compared to the 26,000 TEUs achieved in January 2025. This achievement reflects TTL's increasing role in supporting national and international logistics activities, as well as the success of the operational readiness and service optimization program, enabling TTL to handle the surge in container traffic in early 2026.
The surge in international container flows was driven by the addition of 3 (three) ad hoc calls for Wan Hai Lines international shipping, as well as the addition of 5 (five) new international services that began operating in the fourth quarter of 2025.
President Director of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, David Pandapotan Sirait, said that the positive achievements at the beginning of this year are in line with the growth trend in global container flows and the increasing trust of service users in the quality of TTL services.
"PT Terminal Teluk Lamong consistently prioritizes superior, reliable, and safe operational services to provide highly competitive terminal service standards," explained David.
This positive performance was also reflected in the terminals managed by TTL. TPK Lamong recorded a 27% increase in throughput, with 91,530 TEUs realized, compared to the same period the previous year. Meanwhile, TPK Nilam also recorded a 21% increase in throughput, with 42,003 TEUs realized.
With an effective and efficient operational strategy, as well as a continuous commitment to human resource development, PT Terminal Teluk Lamong is optimistic that it can face increasingly competitive market dynamics and continue to strengthen its contribution in supporting logistics connectivity and the national and international economy throughout 2026.
