JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News, February 20, 2026) - Welcoming the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah, IPC Container Terminal (IPC TPK) is increasing operational readiness by strengthening services and optimizing terminal facilities to anticipate potential increases in goods volume, especially basic necessities and consumer commodities. Strategic steps are being taken to maintain terminal productivity and the reliability of container loading and unloading services across all operational areas to ensure smooth, safe, and timely national logistics distribution.
As part of this service enhancement, IPC TPK is collaborating with partners to boost production capacity by adding two Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTGC) in the Tanjung Priok Terminal Support Area. This addition of equipment increases container handling flexibility and production capacity in the line 2 stacking yard, allowing for faster receiving/delivery and container arrangement while minimizing potential congestion during increased freight volumes.
"The Ramadan period always presents its own dynamics in goods distribution patterns, particularly regarding the distribution of basic necessities and consumer goods. We ensure that all service processes run optimally throughout the holy month," said Pramestie Wulandary, Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK.
Beyond facilities, IPC TPK is also optimizing operational work patterns through adaptive scheduling, strengthening coordination with port stakeholders, and utilizing "golden time ," a time when ships are idle, to perform preventative equipment maintenance. Spare part availability is also ensured to maintain equipment reliability and avoid operational disruptions.
Supervision of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) aspects has also been tightened, in line with the company's commitment to maintaining productivity without neglecting the safety of field personnel during the holy month.
"We want to ensure that the increased public demand during Ramadan is not hampered by terminal disruptions. We have strengthened all operational readiness measures to ensure the national logistics flow remains stable," Pramestie concluded.
With a combination of facility strengthening, operational optimization, and intensive coordination, IPC TPK affirms its commitment to maintaining a reliable national supply chain throughout Ramadan 1447 H.
