PONTIANAK (ISL News, February 2026) — PTP Non-container Pontianak Branch – Kijing Terminal welcomed the first working visit of Pelindo President Director, Achmad Muchtasyar, to Kijing Port, West Kalimantan, on Thursday (26/2/2026).
Operated by PTP Nonpetikemas since August 1, 2022, the terminal continues to develop into a strategic international logistics hub in western Indonesia and serves as the economic lifeblood of West Kalimantan.
Kijing Terminal can now handle up to 15 vessels simultaneously, including large vessels weighing up to 100,000 deadweight tons (DWT), thanks to a quay depth of -15 meters and modern loading and unloading facilities. This strategic role has also positively impacted production volume and cargo throughput, which have grown significantly in recent years.
The visit served as a strategic opportunity to ensure that all port operational and development activities are proceeding according to plan and aligned with the strategy to improve performance and optimize national logistics assets.
This activity was also attended by Desty Arlaini, SVP Business Performance & Asset Optimization Cluster Logistic PT DAM, GM Pelindo Regional 2 Pontianak, President Director of Subholding Pelindo Multi Terminal, President Director of SPSL, President Director of PTP Nonpetikemas, and other Pelindo Group management, as part of efforts to strengthen coordination and synergy between lines in the Pelindo Group port ecosystem.
As the manager of the Kijing Terminal, PTP Nonpetikemas Pontianak Branch affirms its commitment to maintaining the reliability of operational services, occupational safety, and increasing terminal productivity to support the smooth flow of logistics in the West Kalimantan region, especially in Mempawah Regency and its surroundings.
PTP Nonpetikemas President Director, Indra Hidayat Sani, said that the visit of the Pelindo President Director was a positive encouragement for all PTP Nonpetikemas employees in strengthening the role of Kijing Terminal as a strategic logistics hub in the western region of Indonesia.
