JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News) - IPC Terminal Petikemas has achieved a new milestone in its operational performance. Throughout 2025, IPC Terminal Petikemas' total throughput reached 3,597,487 TEUs, a 13.2% increase compared to 2024's 3,177,939 TEUs. This achievement is the highest in the company's history since its inception and also confirms IPC Terminal Petikemas' strategic role as a driver of national logistics and export-import trade flows, particularly in western Indonesia.
This historic achievement reflects the success of IPC Terminal Petikemas' ongoing service transformation and strengthening of its container terminal competitiveness. Improving operational efficiency, developing services, strengthening collaboration with stakeholders, and enhancing the competence and capabilities of human resources are crucial foundations for supporting increasingly complex and internationally standardized terminal operations.
IPC Terminal Petikemas Corporate Secretary, Pramestie Wulandary, stated that the 3.6 million TEUs achievement is the result of user trust and strong synergy with all stakeholders. "This achievement is not just a number, but a tangible proof of user trust in IPC Terminal Petikemas' services. Continuous innovation, improving service quality, and the opening of several new services, both regular and ad hoc, are the main factors driving throughput growth throughout 2025," she said.
Positive performance was also reflected in the December 2025 achievement, which recorded a throughput of 327,880 TEUs, a 12% increase compared to December 2024 of 292,690 TEUs. Of this total, domestic containers accounted for 247,153 TEUs, while international containers reached 80,727 TEUs, demonstrating balanced growth between domestic and international logistics flows.
Throughout 2025, IPC Container Terminal will serve 25 new services, both regular and ad hoc, opening new opportunities for service users and strengthening the availability of freight transport fleets. This step also helps encourage smooth logistics flows and expands national and international trade connectivity.
Performance improvements also occurred in almost all IPC Container Terminal operational areas. In the Tanjung Priok area, performance increased by 13.74%, followed by the Panjang Area which jumped by 24.5%, the Teluk Bayur Area which grew significantly by 16.74%, the Pontianak Area which increased by 7.4%, and the Palembang Area which grew by 6.1%.
In line with these achievements, data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows positive national trade performance, with non-oil and gas exports increasing 7.07% to US$244.75 billion, while non-oil and gas imports rose 4.37% to US$188.61 billion, with a non-oil and gas trade surplus of US$56.15 billion for January–November 2025.
Concluding her statement, Pramestie emphasized that these achievements lay the foundation for future growth. "This historic achievement serves as a foundation for IPC Terminal Petikemas to continue innovating and strengthening its role in supporting the smooth flow of national logistics. We express our highest appreciation to all stakeholders for their support and collaboration that have led IPC Terminal Petikemas to reach the 3.6 million TEU milestone for the first time," she concluded.
