JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News) - IPC TPK continues to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening Indonesia's maritime connectivity with Southeast Asia. Through strategic collaborations with three international shipping lines, IPC TPK now offers three  direct call services  connecting Tanjung Priok Port's Terminal 3 directly to major ports in Vietnam.

The Iran Shipping Line's MV Feng Hai 98 officially docked on October 31 at Terminal 3 IPC TPK Tanjung Priok as part of the launch of a new  direct call service to  Hai Phong, Vietnam. On its maiden voyage, the vessel handled 395 containers for loading and unloading. The route covered Jakarta, Port Klang, Hai Phong, and Jakarta.

"This step is concrete evidence of IPC TPK's commitment to supporting increased national exports, particularly to Vietnam, which is growing rapidly as an industrial and logistics hub in Southeast Asia," said Pramesti Wulandary, Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK.

Throughout 2025, IPC TPK has partnered with three international shipping partners to strengthen its export network to this region: the KM HT Progress from FIAS Shipping Line, bound for Bangkok and Vietnam; the MV Alvan from HDAS Co, in collaboration with the Karana Line agent; and the MV Feng Hai 98 from Iran Shipping Line, bound for Hai Phong, Vietnam. These services not only expand the reach of national logistics but also provide time and cost efficiencies for Indonesian exporters.

In a broader context, the Indonesian and Vietnamese governments are targeting bilateral trade to reach USD 18 billion (equivalent to IDR 294.1 trillion) by 2028. This collaboration is a crucial step towards a more comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Hai Phong itself is known as a strategic port city in Northern Vietnam that is a pioneer in the development of green and sustainable logistics. According to Vietnam.vn data, the city relies on three main pillars: industry-technology, port-logistics, and tourism-trade.

"This collaboration provides a crucial foundation for expanding Indonesia's export market access to Southeast Asia. With direct call services, the supply chain can be more efficient, competitive, and provide added value for national businesses. Through collaboration with various international shipping companies, IPC TPK strives to ensure that Indonesian ports become vital nodes in the Southeast Asian trade network," Pramestie concluded.
