JAKARTA (ISL News) – PTP Nonpetikemas received the Specially Able Persons Empowerment (IBK) Award at IBK's Day 2025, a recognition for its tangible and ongoing contributions to empowering people with disabilities. This event is an annual initiative of the Cagar Foundation, Rumah Autism, and the Shibghah Akhlak Quran School (Sakura).
This award reinforces PTP Nonpetikemas' long-term commitment to promoting inclusion, realized through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. Since 2023, the company has consistently opened access, created spaces for participation, and provided equal opportunities for people with disabilities.
"We believe that as long as there is someone we can help, we must be present and play a role. Our support for People with Special Needs is a concrete manifestation of PTP Nonpetikemas' commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and empowering people with disabilities through collaboration and shared care," said Indra Hidayat Sani, President Director of PTP Nonpetikemas, in his remarks last Sunday (13/10).
Going forward, PTP Nonpetikemas will continue to strengthen initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly point 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth and point 10 on Reduced Inequalities. Through various CSR programs, the company is committed to expanding training, economic empowerment, and access to employment opportunities for people with disabilities within the port environment and communities surrounding its operations.
This commitment is also part of the company's sustainability strategy to ensure that every business step brings inclusive social benefits. PTP Nonpetikemas believes that empowering people with disabilities is not just a social program, but a long-term humanitarian investment that strengthens the values of diversity and social justice in the workplace. With a spirit of collaboration and care, PTP Nonpetikemas will continue to be present as a partner supporting the achievement of a more equal and empowered Indonesia.
IBK's Day is a social movement to raise public awareness and concern for developmental disabilities. This year's event carries the theme "IBK Indonesia Bersinar (United Voices of Inclusivity with Work)," emphasizing the importance of cross-sector synergy in creating safe, equal, and productive spaces for all people with disabilities.
Cagar Foundation Executive Director, Isty, explained that through the theme "Spectrum of Conduct" and the IPKSD movement, which now spans five provinces, her organization aims to encourage the creation of equal space, especially for people with mental and intellectual disabilities, as every individual has the right to fair access, opportunity, and support.
On the occasion, the figures present, including Autism Awareness Ambassador Marcella Zalianty and the Director of Vulnerable Group Health Services at the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Imam Pambudi, also highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration in expanding space for people with disabilities.
The National Commission on Disabilities also expressed its appreciation and emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration. "This is not just an event, but a demonstration of love, hope, and the belief that this nation will be more empowered when no member of society is left behind—including people with disabilities and children with special needs," said Deka Kurniawan, Deputy Chair of the National Commission on Disabilities.
Through various CSR programs, PTP Nonpetikemas continues to strive to deliver initiatives that directly impact the community. In addition to empowering people with disabilities, the company is also active in maritime education programs, improving environmental literacy, and providing economic support to local businesses around the port. All of these CSR activities demonstrate PTP Nonpetikemas's contribution to building an inclusive, empowered, and sustainable social ecosystem throughout its operational areas.
