
SURABAYA INDONESIA (ISL News) – Last Friday, February 14, 2025, PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) officially closed the series of activities for the 2025 National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month by holding a lively and educational Emergency Response Competition. This peak event was held in the TTL area and opened directly by Mr. Tipung Muljoko, QHSSE Senior Manager of PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong. Also present at this competition was Mr. Wahyu Tri Agung, Head of the Resources Section of the Surabaya SAR Office, TTL also involved BASARNAS (National Search and Rescue Agency) Surabaya as the competition judges.
This Emergency Response Competition includes an assessment of three important aspects in handling emergency situations, namely the ability to use a Light Fire Extinguisher (APAR) effectively and efficiently to extinguish a fire. Second, the ability to evacuate victims from a dangerous area to a safe place by considering the victim's condition and the potential dangers that exist. The last aspect, participants are tested on their ability to perform CPR correctly and effectively on victims who experience cardiac arrest.
This Emergency Response Competition demonstrates the readiness of PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong and the ability of all employees to deal with emergency situations that may occur in the work environment. Participants are representatives from various divisions at PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong, which demonstrates a spirit of collaboration and healthy competition in an effort to improve work safety.
In his speech, Mr. Tipung Muljoko expressed his high appreciation to all parties who have actively participated in making the series of activities for the 2025 National K3 Month a success at PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong. "This morning's activities are indeed packaged in the form of a competition, but the point is that we are currently practicing, increasing our capacity to be responsive and able to face dangerous or emergency situations," he said.
Wahyu Tri Agung, Head of Resources of the Surabaya SAR Office, on the same occasion, expressed his admiration for PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong's commitment to implementing K3. "We really appreciate PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong's initiative in holding this Emergency Response Competition. This event not only improves the technical skills of employees, but also fosters a culture of K3 awareness which is very important to prevent work accidents," he said.
Wahyu Tri Agung also added that the Surabaya SAR office and PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong will collaborate to hold a Joint Exercise in April 2025, so that those involved in the implementation can prepare themselves better to gain knowledge in implementing evacuation or emergency handling.
In addition to the Emergency Response Competition, during the 2025 National K3 Month, PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong has also carried out various activities including free health checks and distributing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to external drivers operating at the terminal, there is also an activity of providing medical equipment assistance to the Pustu (Assistant Health Center) in Asemrowo District to improve the quality of health services for the local community.
PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong also socialized Pelindo's Corporate Live Saving Rules to all employees. Pelindo's Corporate Live Saving Rules are work safety guidelines that contain important rules that must be obeyed by all employees to prevent fatal work accidents.
With the success of the Emergency Response Competition and the entire series of activities for the 2025 National K3 Month, PT.
