SURABAYA INDONESIA (ISL News)
 – PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS), a subsidiary of Subholding Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP), has again been entrusted to serve a new shipping route in February 2025. The service, IN2 Service , is operated by Maersk with destinations to Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia, and Singapore. The first ship to serve this route, MV. Brickell with Voyage 506S, docked at the TPS international pier on Thursday (13/2/2024).

"With the IN2 Service , it is expected to strengthen the feeder network to be more reliable and flexible in this area, and provide more service options for customers," said Wahyu Widodo, President Director of PT TPS.

Wahyu added that IN2 Service is the latest service launched in early 2025 which is expected to further strengthen the strategic partnership between TPS and Maersk. "And this is a form of trust that we need to maintain," Wahyu added.

Support for supporting service facilities, such as the available Customs and Quarantine services, make TPS a kind of " one stop logistic services ", coupled with a good performance record, achieved by TPS in terms of loading and unloading productivity throughout 2024 with an achievement of 53 boxes/ship/hour , exceeding the national standard set by the Ministry of Transportation through the Tanjung Perak Main Port Authority Office in Surabaya, which is 48 boxes/ship/hour . Digitalization of TPS services is also a mainstay that supports effective, efficient and transparent service governance, in order to fulfill 4 aspects of customer needs, namely speed of service, reliability, accuracy and safety & security .

Head of Ocean Operations Maersk South East Asia & North East Asia (SEA & NEA), Mariel Metzker, who was present with TPS management at the ship welcoming, expressed her delight at the growing collaboration with TPS. “The launch of this service in Surabaya and Semarang further strengthens Maersk’s connectivity network to meet the needs of customers in Indonesia. We are very pleased to be able to enhance our collaboration with TPS, who have provided professional support and contributed to creating operational efficiencies,” said Metzker.

"Thank you for the trust given to TPS and we will continue to strive to provide sustainable excellent service. Hopefully this new service will open the door to opportunities to increase export progress in East Java and its surroundings," concluded Wahyu.
