SURABAYA (ISL News) - Welcoming the celebration of Idul Adha 1445 Hijriyah in 2024, PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas Subholding distributed 215 sacrificial animals consisting of 123 cows and 92 goats. The distribution of sacrificial animals is carried out by 16 branches and 7 subsidiaries to communities around the company's work environment.
Corporate Secretary of PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, Widyaswendra said that this activity was the company's commitment to caring for the community. According to him, the momentum of Eid al-Adha is a means of strengthening good relations with fellow humans.
"This activity is part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program and is one of our concrete manifestations of sharing happiness with people in need so that we can provide benefits," said Widyaswendra, Friday (14/06)
He added that the distribution of sacrificial animals is routinely carried out every year by SPTP. The spirit of sacrifice is an inspiration for the company to share with the local community. Apart from that, employees can also take lessons from this celebration to increase their devotion to God Almighty.
"The meaning of Eid al-Adha celebrations does not only stop at just sharing with others, but also so that we get closer to the Creator and are sincere in our work and activities," he added.
The sacrificial animals are distributed alive and healthy through a number of mosques and religious social institutions around the company's work area. Furthermore, the slaughtering and distribution of sacrificial animal meat is fully handed over to the mosque and related religious social institutions.
Sukirno, administrator of the Al Mudzakir Foundation, said that his party had received sacrificial animals distributed directly by PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas.
