JAKARTA (ISL News) - IPC Container Terminal (IPC TPK) received a working visit from Danantara's Managing Director of Business 3, Febriany Eddy, at the IPC TPK Integrated Planning & Control Room facility, Wednesday (4/11). This visit was part of a review of the readiness of operational facilities, planning systems, and control mechanisms for loading and unloading activities to ensure terminal operations run effectively, integrated, and in accordance with established standards.
During the visit, IPC TPK directly explained the implementation of the operational planning and control system which is an important part of maintaining the reliability of container terminal services.
"This visit provides an opportunity for IPC TPK to demonstrate how the operational planning and control system is implemented in an integrated manner. Through the Integrated Planning & Control Room, all terminal operational activities are monitored and coordinated centrally, from loading and unloading planning, equipment movement, to managing operational resources. This is part of our efforts to maintain service effectiveness, accuracy, and productivity," said Daniel Setiawan, Senior Manager of the IPC TPK Corporate Secretariat.
As an operational control center, the Integrated Planning & Control Room plays a strategic role in integrating the planning and execution of loading and unloading activities. Through digitalization, this facility enables comprehensive monitoring of terminal activities, including the management of loading and unloading equipment movements, the allocation of stacking yards, and the coordination of operational personnel.
The review also covers the operational service flow from upstream to downstream to ensure each stage of the process follows applicable procedures and operational standards. Consistency in planning, supervision, and control is a crucial factor in increasing terminal productivity, optimizing resource utilization, and reducing port and cargo stay times.
"Through strengthening our digitally-enabled planning and control systems, IPC TPK continues to strive to ensure that every operational process is more measurable, efficient, and reliable.
